Aida Memisevic

Aida is Solutions In Mind’s media mentor. Having graduated with a B.A. in Radio and Television Arts from Ryerson University, she currently works as a television and radio producer and has founded a company, Positive Living Productions. Aida’s company recently produced an award-winning CD, entitled Fears For Ears, which consists of a collection of fully dramatized audio horror stories by Canadian authors. The City of Brampton Arts Council has honoured Aida with the Arts Acclaim Award for her work as an Entrepreneurial Producer. Most recently, Aida has completed a project, Story Producing, for CTV Network's entertainment show etalkDaily. She had the privilege of producing biographical shows on high profile artists, and her work aired on CTV and Talk TV across Canada. Positive Living Productions is currently producing a documentary for Omni Television. Aida describes herself as a life adventurer and she has enjoyed sky diving, white water rafting, scuba diving, and hot air ballooning.

Paul Bartman, Partner Training Program Manager, Hewlett-Packard

Upon graduating from Conestoga College with a Diploma of Technology in Electronic Engineering Technology, Paul joined Hewlett-Packard in 1977. Over the past 26 years, he has held multiple roles at HP, starting out as a customer service representative then moving on to service manager, marketing support manager, training program manager, and partner training program manager.

Most recently, Paul has used his extensive background in the product and technology areas to manage a wide variety of training programs including the implementation of the HP University and other partner training programs in Canada.

Paul’s specialty is to implement sales and technology training utilizing the medium or learning modality that is best suited to the content of the training and the needs of the audience, be that web-based, in a classroom, via CD, or on paper.

Paul is a “possibility” thinker and a team player who thrives on assisting others to achieve their goals. He excels at working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Paul is a highly adaptable individual, well suited to the constantly changing environment in which he operates.

Russ Milland, General Systems Specialist

Russ Milland holds Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Applied Science degrees from the University of Toronto. He is a General Systems Specialist with over 30 years of experience in:

  • Business (Process) design and optimization
  • Information (Systems) management
  • Information Technology (IT) management
  • Organizational design and transformation
  • Business coaching, consulting and mentoring
  • Project and change management

Russ’ experience includes a wide array of roles in the information systems and technology management functions within Imperial Oil Limited. These included roles as a strategic planner, systems development manager, and business transformation leader. He was active in developing a new merged information systems and technology management organization during the merger of Imperial Oil and Texaco Canada.

Russ subsequently applied his knowledge and experience as an executive in a Chief Information Officer (CIO) role with Allied Signal Aerospace, now part of Honeywell. As a member of a corporate merger team charged with merging the Canadian division with several U.S. divisions into a new $3 billion dollar enterprise, Russ lead the information systems merger initiative to assess the inventory of information systems and develop appropriate plans to rationalize the needed set of systems and support organizations.

Over the past decade, Russ has also acted as a senior consultant and project manager to a number of companies in the telecommunications, health, insurance, electronic learning, and railway industries.

Over the past 15 years, Russ has expanded his areas of expertise to include business (process) design and optimization, behavioral psychology, and organizational development. He has served as an advisor or executive committee member to a number of industry and academic organizations in each of these fields, including the Toronto Organizational Development Network where he serves on the Board of Directors.

Russ has a passion for the use of cross-disciplinary teams to effect significant changes to enterprise performance and for simple elegance in the design of highly competitive enterprises

Irene Davy, Ph.D.

Irene Davy received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Vienna in 1979. After eight years in Austria and two years in Hamilton, she returned to Toronto where she soon became the assistant director of Sunnybrook School. She has guided the school through many changes, the most recent being the implementation of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP). In 2001, Irene was invited to join the faculty of the International Baccalaureate North America, and she has conducted workshops and school visits for IBNA (North America), as well as for IBAEM (Africa, Europe, and the Middle East). She has sat on the curriculum committee in Cardiff for the IB PYP and, most recently, she has been named Chairperson of the Primary Years Programme Committee for the International Baccalaureate Organization in Cardiff, Wales. Irene is passionate about children's learning, and she takes a keen interest in leadership in learning organizations.

Till Davy, M.D., F.R.C.P.(C), F.A.A.P.

Till was born in Vienna, Austria, and attended university there. After graduation from the University of Vienna Medical School in 1977, he took his internship in Scheibbs, Austria. In 1979, Till began his pediatric residency at the Vienna University Hospital Paediatric Clinic. In 1980, after immigrating to Canada, he trained at McMaster University Medical School and at the University of Toronto. Till is currently an Assistant Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto, and a Senior Staff Paediatrician in the division of Paediatric Medicine at the Hospital for Sick Children. Till's special interests include paediatric neuropsychopharmacology and the treatment of children with ADHD, Aspergers Syndrome, and other psychiatric disorders. He works with several drug companies helping to train community physicians in the pharmalogical care of children with ADD and other childhood disorders.

Above all, Till Davy is a community paediatrician. He is committed both to primary paediatric care, and to the care of children with special needs. He believes that all children should be given the opportunity to reach their full potential, and he is devoted to his patients and their parents.

Robert Clark, Chief Executive Officer, Meritum Corporation

Robert spent the first 23 years of his career with the multinational business forms and systems giant Moore Corporation, ending this period in the position of Director of Marketing and Sales, Moore International division including Latin America and the Pacific in addition to Europe and Africa. In this position, he had overall responsibility for all corporate development, marketing, and direct sales for 47 companies outside of North America, with revenues of approximately one billion dollars. Following his time at Moore, Robert became deeply involved in building a significant management team that in turn developed and acquired companies in many different fields. For the past 19 years, he has directed most of these companies as CEO.
